I have wanted to order from this place for a long time and finally got around to it. Bad mistake. The food was pretty decent, but the problem is the delivery. Maybe it's that their delivery range is to broad, but it took forever and the delivery guy was not very nice. When I signed the bill he asked me if that was the only tip he was getting with an attitude? I added extra to the tip to begin with so I am not sure what he was looking for? Left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not order from them again. There are to many solid restaurants in the area to deal with people like that.

delicious food, very quick delivery

This place has great food whether you take-out or eat at the restaurant. Portions are big enough to have leftovers another day. However, they do nickel n' dime you on salsa, sour cream and jalapenos so you may want to use what's in your fridge rather than pay $2.50 for a small cup o' sour cream.

the dessert was delicious, but the food was below par... esp in ny, you can get SO much better, for the same price or less. delivery was fast. that's better than being too slow, but too fast is not ideal either... i wasn't home yet when they arrived, so the food sat for a while in the bag.

Messy. Not every dish travels so well. Expect to tuck into some soggy fare. But the portions are generous and the food is still good.

food comes fresh, fast and tasty. LOVELY delivery people. We are always pleased.

The hard tacos with meat were pretty darn good, though the included guacamole was nearly nonexistent (maybe 1 1/2 teaspoons). Overall, the combo plate (I think it was called Aztec something-or-other--regardless, it was the one with the tacos) had very generous servings, enough for 2 girl-sized meals. The tres leches cake was also pretty good, though perhaps a tad too sweet for my tastes.

Always fresh & delicious food. The best guacamole anywhere! Plenty of vegetarian options. In the restaurant is always fun w/ the live Mariachi band. Delivery is quick.

Mama Mexico CONSISTENTLY brings high-quality fresh food, served hot and fast.

The funniest and most fun Mexican restaurant on the Upper Westside, if not in all of New York. They try hard. Unfortunately the Mariachi Band doesn't make deliveries. The food is pretty good too. It's not haute cuisine by any stretch of the imagination, but pretty darn good. Oh-Lay!

We were supposed to get deliver within 30-45 minutes last night, but it was an 1 1/2 hours (and several phone calls) before the doorbell rang. The food, of course, was cold. My seafood enchiladas were not very good (I didn't try the other main course but was told it was not great) and I picked out the shrimp and ate them. Thankfully the free chips were fine and the salsa was really delicious, although there was only a little cup of it. Otherwise, I would have been breaking out the yogurt.

The food here is AWFUL!!! The only decent thing is the guacamole. Everything that I have ordered from there was terrible: echiladas, fajitas, burritos. So, if you actually like good Mexican food, stay away from this place!

Mama Mexico is truly outstanding Mexican food; wonderfully presented, delivered steaming hot. They have a varied menu that presents many wonderful choices-my only problem is choosing only one entree. If you want great food you can't go wrong at Mama Mexico. It is a little pricey but well worth it.
